Q:So I have a Ltx 250 and it runs fine but when it rides over bumps or on the dirt it starts putting out like it doesn’t wanna run

You may have some debris in the bottom of the tank. Drain it, clean it out and refill. See if that works... Be sure to change the fuel cutle filter and blow out the lines. Let me know how it goes.

I ride a 2013 Honda VT750 (Shadow Aero) and have been passionate about bikes since childhood. I started riding my own back in the 90s, and it's been a beloved part of my life ever since. However, over time, I’ve developed pain in my throttle thumb and wrist due to an old injury, as well as extreme discomfort in my clutch wrist from arthritis and another injury.
To make matters worse, my hands are extremely small, and the stock clutch lever has always been extremely difficult to pull in and hard to reach when it's at rest. Even with occasional cortisone injections, it was becoming harder and harder to ride comfortably.
For the past few years, I’ve trusted Love Motorsports for servicing my bike, and they’ve always delivered excellent service. Jim, in particular, has consistently been friendly, helpful, and an absolute pleasure to work with. So, I gave him a call to ask if there was any way to install a different set of levers to make riding easier.
Jim explained that while Harley riders have tons of options, Hondas are a bit trickier. He went above and beyond, doing an online search and finding a part on Amazon that might work—though he couldn’t guarantee it. The part was affordable and returnable, so I figured, why not give it a shot?
I ordered the part and took my bike to the shop on Saturday. The team installed the levers while I waited, as they preferred not to keep my bike in the shop because of its custom paint job. (I’ve left it there before without any issues, but I appreciated the quick turnaround so I could get back on the road sooner!)
In a little over an hour, I was back on my bike. The moment I pulled in the brake and clutch, I felt a surge of hope—this just might work! Once I got on the road and headed home, I knew Jim had found the solution. I had to remind myself not to cry tears of joy while riding because, as we all know, tears and motorcycles don’t mix well.
I was absolutely thrilled! The clutch now rests closer to the grip, but the biggest improvement is how much easier it is to squeeze both levers. For the first time in ages, I finished my ride with zero pain in either hand. I was so excited that I called Jim as soon as I got home to share my happiness.
I highly recommend Love Motorsports. They always do an incredible job, but this time, they went above and beyond to make my riding experience better than ever. Thank you, Jim and the team—you’ve truly outdone yourselves!
